Our staff are trained to provide counselling that is sensitive and appropriate for this age bracket. We work with young people from diverse social circumstances and cultural backgrounds to cater for all.

- In the first session, our counsellors will discuss concerns with parents and explore factors that may be influencing the situation.

- We then work with the child or young person to discuss the issues and to assist them to develop the understanding and skills required to manage the situation at home or in the community when they exit our care.

- In the sessions, the counsellor and the young person will discuss issues like anxiety, fears, family separation, self-esteem, grief and loss, childhood abuse, trauma, conflict with others, issues relating to school, socialising and relating with others and proving the skills for young people to deal with it all.

- All young people registered into our facility can access counselling services. Day and evening appointments are available as needed or recommended by the house carer on duty/case worker.

- Confidentiality and privacy are at the centre of our services to young people.
